One of the more favorite roads to collect railroad items from the Chicago area is the EJ&E Railway. Or the full name is the Elgin Joliet & Eastern railroad. Here is a short globe lantern marked EJ& Ry on the lid. All complete comes with a red plain globe. Has a small dent on top about 1/2 inch in diameter. Easy fix I will let the new owner pound in out. Only issue just needs a light cleaning. Any questions please email me. J items are highly sought after from Illinois & Indiana collectors. They did operate in both states until the CN took them over about 15 or so years ago.
