The Southern Pacific Had many different switch keys for various reasons. I believe this key is the CS-44 Special the M. of Way department. These older CS-44 keys with the word SPECIAL spelled out are harder to come by. Front has SP CO deeply stamped with serial number 1086. Back side show the A&W oval logo with Special spelled out. The letters S&P are very worn. But can still make out the 2 letters. Besides having near perfect pocket wear. The key has that nice smooth finish to it. SN
