Seldom offered brass lock was made for the Chicago Union Stockyards. The lock is in good working order. The shackle doesn't pop open when the key is turned. I believe this is common on these locks. I tried mine and had the same result. The shackle has no spring. One of the few locks that had no drop when produced. Back side has cast raised letters USY&T Co inside a panel.
